UK BOARDING SCHOOLS BRING GLOBAL CLASSROOM TO ABUJA, LAGOS

Thinking of a British boarding education? Top UK schools are coming to Nigeria to meet families face-to-face.

Leading UK boarding schools are set to meet Nigerian parents and students this March as part of UK Boarding Schools Week 2026, with exhibitions in Abuja and Lagos.

Organised by Mark Brooks Education, the events will give families a rare chance to interact directly with school heads, learn about admissions, and explore academic and co-curricular opportunities in the British boarding system.

According to organiser Mark Brooks, a UK trade export champion, the programme is designed to help families understand the academic pathways, pastoral care and international learning environment offered by top UK schools.

The Abuja exhibition holds on March 4 at the Transcorp Hilton, while Lagos hosts its session on March 7 at The George Hotel, Ikoyi. Some schools will also offer private meetings and a follow-up session on March 8.

Participating schools include Bromsgrove School, Wellington School, Cardiff Sixth Form College, Canford School, Lancing College, Downside School, and others—many of which already host Nigerian and West African students.

Attendance is free, though families are encouraged to register in advance.

Bottom line: for parents exploring global education options, the UK classroom is coming closer to home.
