Governor credits presidential backing for the state’s rapid growth and infrastructure boom.
At Ogun State’s 50th anniversary banquet, Governor Dapo Abiodun praised President Bola Tinubu for consistently approving development initiatives, saying his support has propelled the state’s rise to prominence.
“I thank Mr. President for making me not just a superstar, but a rockstar,” Abiodun said, noting that Ogun now stands proudly alongside Nigeria’s leading states, with strong economic and industrial growth.
The governor reaffirmed his commitment to keeping promises, fairness, and equity across the state, while acknowledging stakeholders who have partnered in building Ogun’s future.
Former Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo lauded the state’s industrialisation and infrastructure projects, highlighting its special economic zones, free trade zone, and cargo airport as milestones. Senator Solomon Adeola also commended Abiodun for his massive infrastructure development across Ogun.
