HAVERTZ STRIKES, ARSENAL BOOK LEAGUE CUP FINAL SPOT

Late drama at the Emirates as Arsenal edge Chelsea and reach their first final since 2018.

Arsenal sealed a 1-0 win over Chelsea on Tuesday, completing a 4-2 aggregate victory in the League Cup semi-final. Former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz scored in injury time, finishing a lightning counterattack that sent the Gunners through.

The first hour saw few clear chances, with both goalkeepers largely untested. Chelsea brought on Cole Palmer, Estevao, and Alejandro Garnacho to chase an equaliser, but Arsenal held firm. Havertz’s late strike proved decisive, leaving the Blues frustrated.

The Premier League leaders will now face Manchester City or Newcastle United in the final, with City currently holding a 2-0 advantage ahead of the second leg.
