BLOODSHED IN KATSINA: BANDIT ATTACK KILLS 20 IN DOMA COMMUNITY

Peace deal ignored as bandits strike in broad daylight!

Suspected bandits have killed about 20 people in Doma community, Tafoki Ward, Faskari LGA, Katsina State, on Tuesday afternoon. Witnesses say the attackers also set houses ablaze before withdrawing around 4 p.m., defying a recent peace agreement with locals.

The community chairman, Alhaji Surajo Aliyu-Daudawa, described it as a reprisal attack and the most devastating in the last five months. Funerals are scheduled for Wednesday morning in Tafoki town.

The Katsina Police Command confirmed that 13 fatalities were recorded at the scene. DSP Aliyu Abubakar said the bandits, armed and firing sporadically, fled before security operatives and the military could arrive.

Authorities are intensifying efforts to track the assailants and prevent further attacks.
