Iteledicon’s blockbuster just rewrote Nollywood record books
Nollywood actor and producer Yekini Ibrahim, better known as Iteledicon, is celebrating a historic moment after his movie “Koleoso” crossed 100 million views on YouTube, a first for any Nollywood or African film released as a single title.
Sharing the news on Instagram, an excited Ibrahim called the milestone a product of hard work, consistency and creativity, giving credit to his team, family and loyal fans for pushing the film to record-breaking heights.
“History. Record. Legacy,” he wrote. “Koleoso hits 100 million-plus views. One title. One story. One movement. I am the FIRST to do this in Nollywood—please don’t deny me my flowers.”
The filmmaker described the achievement as bigger than personal success, saying it was a win for Nollywood, Africa, Yoruba culture and Nigeria as a whole. He also praised the cast and crew, calling the moment “loud, magical and golden.”
“This hits different,” Ibrahim added. “The numbers don’t lie.”
With Koleoso now setting a new digital benchmark, the milestone signals Nollywood’s growing global reach—and the power of strong storytelling backed by a solid fan base.
