From urea to sugar and base oil, Lagos ports are staying busy as fresh cargo sails in.
At least eight cargo ships have arrived at Apapa, Tin-Can Island and Lekki ports in Lagos, ready to offload key commodities including bulk urea, sugar, gypsum, base oil and empty containers, according to the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
In its latest Shipping Position update, the NPA also revealed that 28 more vessels carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected between Jan. 27 and Feb. 6.
The incoming ships are loaded with essentials such as wheat, fresh fish, petrol, gas, crude oil, gypsum and containerised cargo. Meanwhile, 22 vessels are already at berth, currently discharging a mix of crude oil, clinker, wheat, urea, base oil and containers.
Lagos ports remain a hive of activity as imports keep flowing in.
