SHETTIMA BACK HOME AFTER POWER DIPLOMACY TOUR

From West Africa to Davos—Nigeria made its case on the global stage.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after a week-long diplomatic and economic mission to Guinea-Conakry and Switzerland, where he represented President Bola Tinubu at the inauguration of Guinea’s leader, Mamadi Doumbouya, and led Nigeria’s delegation to the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos.

At Davos, Shettima helped unveil Nigeria House—the country’s first-ever sovereign pavilion, pitched as a permanent investment hub spotlighting opportunities in solid minerals, agriculture and the digital economy. He also teamed up with Obasanjo, Osinbajo and Finance Minister Wale Edun to push the Accra Reset Initiative, calling for African industrialisation powered by local capital, not aid.

The trip, Shettima says, reflects Nigeria’s push for regional unity and economic reset under Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
