YUSUF TO TINUBU: KANO NEEDS BACKUP ON SECURITY, MEGA PROJECTS

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has met President Bola Tinubu in Abuja, seeking stronger federal support to tackle rising insecurity in parts of the state and push key infrastructure projects.

At the closed-door meeting, Yusuf briefed the President on security concerns, including the recent killing of a housewife and her children, and called for closer collaboration between federal security agencies and the Kano Neighbourhood Watch Corps.

The governor also outlined Kano’s development plans, highlighting ongoing and proposed mega infrastructure projects. He praised Tinubu for federal intervention on the Wujuwuju Road, saying it would boost economic growth and jobs.

President Tinubu, in response, assured Yusuf of the Federal Government’s commitment to supporting Kano on security and sustainable development.
