POLICE CLARIFY KADUNA ABDUCTION COMMENTS, CONFIRM INCIDENT UNDER INVESTIGATION

The Nigeria Police Force has clarified that Kaduna State’s Commissioner of Police, Mr. Muhammadu Rabiu, was not denying the reported abduction of church worshippers in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru LGA, but speaking cautiously pending verification.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, NPF spokesperson, said initial conflicting reports prompted measured comments to avoid panic. Subsequent checks confirmed the attack, and coordinated search-and-rescue operations are now underway, with tactical units deployed to locate and safely recover victims.

The Force urged the public and media to rely on official updates and avoid speculation that could hamper ongoing security efforts.
