KWARA HOLDS ITS BREATH AS MONARCH’S SON WALKS FREE

A glimmer of hope in a tense ordeal: Olaolu Olanipekun, son of the Oniwo of Afin, has regained freedom weeks after bandits stormed the palace and abducted the royal family and residents in Kwara.

Security sources confirmed Olaolu’s release, though details remain sketchy and it’s unclear if ransom was paid. Sadly, the monarch, Oba Simeon Olanipekun, and others are still in captivity, with kidnappers demanding millions.

The community is now urging the state government and security agencies to step up efforts and bring the Kabiyesi home safely, as fear and prayers grip Afin.
