Big relief for commuters and businesses
The Federal Government has commissioned multiple emergency and special intervention road projects across Kaduna State, signaling fresh momentum in fixing key transport corridors and easing traffic headaches.
The projects include the repaired Taban Sani Road in Makarfi, Mahuta NNPC Pipeline Road to Army Post Service Housing in Chikun, and the Sabo Rail Bridge–Command Junction Road, a long-awaited relief for residents plagued by congestion.
FG teams also inspected major routes like the Abuja–Kaduna Highway, Eastern and Western Bypasses, and roads linking Zaria, Funtua, Sokoto and Jos, noting steady progress despite funding and security challenges. Contractors confirmed bridges, drainages and carriageways are taking shape, with some sections nearing commissioning.
Officials said the road push aligns with President Tinubu’s directive on value-for-money projects, aimed at decongesting Kaduna, boosting regional trade and improving safety. Residents were assured that contractors are being closely monitored to deliver durable, high-quality roads.
