SHETTIMA TAKES NIGERIA TO DAVOS: 2026 ECONOMIC OUTLOOK ON GLOBAL STAGE

Nigeria is set to make its pitch on the world’s biggest economic platform.

Vice-President Kashim Shettima will present Nigeria’s 2026 economic outlook at the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland, where global leaders, investors and policymakers converge.

According to his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima has arrived in Davos to lead Nigeria’s delegation and will take part in high-level discussions on artificial intelligence, quantum computing and biotechnology.

Beyond the panels, the Vice-President is scheduled for bilateral meetings with heads of state, top business leaders and development finance institutions, all aimed at advancing President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

A major highlight this year is the debut of “Nigeria House Davos” — the country’s first-ever sovereign pavilion on the Davos Promenade. The hub will host investment talks, ministerial engagements and cultural diplomacy throughout the forum.

Trade and Investment Minister Dr Jumoke Oduwole said Nigeria will use the platform to showcase opportunities in solid minerals, climate-smart agriculture, the creative economy and the digital sector.

Bottom line: Nigeria is in Davos to talk growth, investment and the future.
