BUA CHAIRMAN SALUTES SUPER EAGLES, CONFIRMS $500K REWARD STILL ON

No matter the result, Nigeria’s Super Eagles remain heroes

Abdul Samad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Group, has praised the team for their courageous and spirited display at AFCON 2025, reassuring that the $500,000 reward he pledged after Nigeria’s quarter-final win over Algeria still stands — despite the heartbreak of losing 4-2 on penalties to Morocco in the semi-final.

Taking to X, Rabiu applauded the players’ unity, determination, and fighting spirit, saying:

“You fought with your hearts, gave your all, and showed true courage on the pitch. Every Nigerian is proud of you.”

He added that while results don’t always match effort, the passion and commitment shown by the Eagles resonated deeply with Nigerians at home and abroad.

“Sometimes our best efforts don’t bring the outcome we desire, but the spirit and unity you displayed truly matter. I am going ahead with the $500,000 pledge in recognition of your hard work and the joy you brought to our nation.”

Rabiu encouraged the team to stay focused, noting that the lessons from this tournament will inspire future victories.

“Keep your heads high. Nigeria believes in you,” he said.
