KATSINA UNITED SCORES BIG: 100 HOMEgrown TALENTS NOW ON N50K MONTHLY PAY

Imagine turning your passion for football into a steady paycheck— that’s the dream Katsina United FC just made real for over 100 homegrown stars from their Team B and U-19 squads. Club chairman Alhaji Surajo Malumfashi spilled the good news to journalists in Katsina on Monday: all players’ data is captured, and they’re now locked into the state government’s salary scheme, earning at least N50,000 monthly.

Not stopping there, the club cleared a whopping five-month salary backlog for new recruits and looped in the technical crew and backroom staff too. Everyone’s set for regular entitlements— a first in Katsina’s football history.

Malumfashi gave props to Sports Commissioner Alhaji Surajo Yazid-Abukur for pushing this through, calling it “commendable and motivational.” With this backing, he’s fired up to steer the team to more wins at home and away. Grassroots football just leveled up in Katsina!
