Picture 733 firefighters stepping up ranks in one massive ceremony—FCT Fire Service boss Suleiman Anas says this unprecedented boost will ignite supercharged emergency responses across Abuja.
At Thursday’s Kubwa HQ decoration, Anas hailed the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board’s December 2025 promotions as the command’s biggest ever: 3 Chief Superintendents to Assistant Controllers, 36 Superintendents to Chief Superintendents, 22 Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents, 547 Assistant Superintendents I to Deputy, 46 Assistant II to I, and 79 Inspectors to Assistant II.
“This is major motivation—our officers are fired up to deliver 101% protecting lives and property,” Anas beamed, crediting Federal Government’s welfare push and Controller-General Adeyemi Olumode’s leadership. Spokesperson Superintendent Barnabas Anyam got decorated too, with sister agencies cheering.
New ranks mean redeployments for peak efficiency—residents, stay safety-smart and dial emergency lines fast! Promoted heroes face bigger responsibilities with professionalism.
