TROOPS STORM TARABA, CHASE KIDNAPPERS INTO BUSH AND FREE THREE YOUTHS

Imagine kidnappers thinking they’ve got easy prey in a quiet Taraba village—then troops crash the party, sending them scampering and rescuing the captives in a Hollywood-style chase

On January 5, 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke troops mobilized on solid intel to Sangai Village, Bachama Ward, Karim Lamido LGA, pursuing suspects toward the Taraba-Plateau border until they ditched Nimron Umar (25), Abafaras Ibrahim (20), and Habila Yunusa (23).

Spokesman Lt. Umar Muhammad confirmed the bad guys fled into the bush on spotting soldiers, leaving victims behind—now safe in military custody, getting care before family reunions.

Brig. Gen. Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa praised the team’s swift professionalism, pledging relentless ops to crush criminals and begging locals for more tips: “Community intel is our superpower!”
