EDO VOWS KIDNAP CRACKDOWN AFTER DOCTOR’S BRUTAL SLAYING

Heartbreaking loss in Auchi—a doctor abducted and killed in cold blood. Now Edo State government is doubling down, swearing to hunt the culprits and wipe out kidnapping for good.

The Okpebholo administration called Dr. Abu Momoh Tahir’s murder “unfortunate, painful, and regrettable,” condoling his family while assuring the public: perpetrators won’t escape justice.

Pre-yuletide bush-combing ops by Operation Rescue razed kidnapper dens in Auchi, Agenebode, Okpella, Fugar, and Owan—arrests made, hideouts smashed, some bandits killed in shootouts. Despite progress slashing incidents, this tragedy stings, but they’re relentless for a crime-free Edo.

Government insists security’s a team effort—citizens must join hands. Edo’s yuletide peace proves commitment, and they’ll intensify until kidnappers are history.
