Public Affairs Analyst Dr. Ambrose Igboke, Chairman of Public Affairs Analysts of Nigeria (Enugu Chapter), told NAN Wednesday it’s “fresh air in the polity.” With APC hoovering up governors and Obi as the post-2023 opposition face (eclipsing “old order” Atiku), his defection injects massive political currency, followers, and the Obidient movement into ADC—leaving Labour Party gutted by internal drama.
“Obi consulted widely; expect ADC to explode in 2027 nationally and statewide, surpassing LP’s 2023 feats with bigwigs contesting everywhere,” Igboke predicted. But caution to Ndigbo: Ditch ethnic spin, demand ADC’s Southeast perks, secure Obi’s presidential ticket—no VP repeats like PDP’s 2022 gamble that doomed Igbo hopes.
