Prof. Jonah Onuoha from UNN’s Political Science dept dismissed Peter Obi’s Dec 31 jump from Labour Party to African Democratic Party (ADC) as a non-event for 2027 elections—Obidient movement that rocked 2023 South-East wins has crumbled, too demoralized to revive.
Onuoha told newmen in Nsukka on Friday that dashed hopes killed the hype, forcing Obi’s exit, setting up an APC vs ADC showdown where the best candidate grabs power.
He urged all players to cool rhetoric and prioritize national unity over election fever.
