Traffic hell to smooth sail: Lagos cops just rolled out massive security on the hot new Coastal Road, fixing one-way chaos and crashes with non-stop patrols.
CP Olohundare Jimoh announced it Wednesday during a Victoria Island “Show of Force.” Over 30 six-man armed teams plus 20 tactical squads now blanket the route—opened to slash Lekki gridlock. “No crime threats, no fatal accidents since; compliance is way up,” Jimoh told journalists.
24-hour coverage extends to beaches, event spots, and recreation hubs. “Safe for all lawful fun—no harassment fears,” he assured, vowing sustained ops amid construction and post-holiday rush. Thanks to IGP Kayode Egbetokun’s gear and Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s backing, Lagos policing stays elite.
