FCT Minister Nyesom Wike dropped a political nuke Monday in Port Harcourt’s end-of-year media chat: “If I decamp to APC today, PDP dies – watch Benue, Plateau, Abia, Edo leaders follow me!” – despite his Rivers supporters (including Gov. Siminalayi Fubara) already jumping ship to the ruling party.
Wike insists he’s PDP loyal: “People leaving doesn’t mean I bolt – I’m still in!” He shrugged off Fubara’s APC move as solo (no council chairs, assembly members, or structure tagging along): “No automatic 001 or second-term ticket – leadership needs exceptional qualities beyond governor tag. Register in your ward!”
Wike boasted his Rivers structure’s ironclad: “Fubara can’t takeover – exceptions like Lagos/Kano don’t apply here!” Pure Wike flex amid PDP turmoil.
