NIPR, NASARAWA STATE BREAK GROUND FOR PUBLIC RELATIONS UNIVERSITY IN AKWANGA

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Nasarawa State Government held a ground-breaking ceremony Tuesday for the University of Public Relations and Leadership (UPRL) at Gudi in Akwanga Local Government Area, marking a major step toward establishing Nigeria as a global hub for communication and leadership training.

NIPR President Dr. Ike Neliaku praised Governor Abdullahi Sule’s commitment, stating the project demonstrates responsible use of influence and positions Nasarawa at the center of history, with first matriculations planned for November 2026 ahead of Nigeria hosting the World Public Relations Forum.

Governor Sule expressed gratitude to NIPR and the Global Alliance for selecting Nasarawa, highlighting the university’s potential for education, capacity building, and employment, following an initial meeting in January 2025, MoU signing in July, and now construction launch.
