KANO ASSEMBLY PASSES N1.477T 2026 BUDGET – 68% CAPITAL PUSH, HONORS FALLEN LAWMAKERS!

Kano State House of Assembly greenlit Gov. Abba Kabir Yusuf’s N1.477 trillion 2026 Appropriation Bill Monday under Speaker Alhaji Jibril Falgore – a whopping N934.6B (68%) for capital projects like infra/development (highest ratio in years) vs N433.4B (32%) recurrent, post-Nov. 19 presentation and plenary debates.

Next up: Bill heads to Gov. Yusuf for assent per Constitution – signaling massive dev focus amid NNPP’s economic blueprint for North’s commercial hub.

Assembly also held emotional valedictory for late reps Aminu Sa’ad (Ungogo) and Sarki Aliyu Daneji (Kano Municipal), who died Dec. 24 hours apart: “Grievous loss to committed public servants advancing lawmaking/community welfare,” Falgore mourned, extending condolences to Gov, Kwankwaso, families, and Kano folks – vowing to honor their democratic legacy.
