DEPUTY SPEAKER KALU URGES ABIA GOV OTTI TO DEFECT TO APC, PLEDGES FULL SUPPORT

Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu publicly invited Abia State Governor Alex Otti to join the All Progressives Congress on Monday during a Christmas food distribution and town hall in his Agbamuzu hometown in Bende LGA, assuring robust party backing to advance shared development goals under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.

Kalu highlighted APC’s openness to collaborative leaders, announced a N1 billion empowerment fund for 2,000 SMEs across Abia’s 17 LGAs (N500,000 each via BOI, BOA, SMEDAN partnerships), and distributed rice and cash to 3,500 residents, emphasizing accountability amid rumors of his own gubernatorial ambitions which he dismissed as premature.

APC chieftains including State Chairman Kingsley Ononogbu and MP Chris Nkwonta hailed Kalu’s 58 projects, 100+ sponsored bills, and predicted a 100% APC sweep in Abia for 2027, citing economic gains like stable fuel and falling food prices as signs of federal progress.
