OSUN ASSEMBLY OKS MASSIVE N723BN BUDGET FOR 2026 – INFRA BOOM AHEAD

Osun State just leveled up! The State Assembly greenlit a whopping N723 billion budget for 2026 on Wednesday, pumping 55% (N388bn) into capital projects like roads, schools, and health while N317bn covers recurrent costs – personnel (N135bn) and overheads (N182bn).

Speaker Adewale Egbedun announced clean copies heading straight to Governor Ademola Adeleke for his signature, after the Finance Committee bumped it up N18bn from the original N705bn Adeleke dropped on Nov 12. This “Osun State Appropriation Bill 2026” signals big ambitions for infrastructure, jobs, and welfare under Adeleke’s vision.

Sponsored by Finance Chair Saheed Fatunmise, the passage followed Tuesday’s committee report adoption – a speedy win keeping Osun’s development engine roaring into the new year.
