In Kwara’s diverse melting pot, Anglican Bishop Right Rev. Sunday Adewole lit up Christmas at Saint Barnabas Cathedral with a unity bomb: Ditch ethnic walls, embrace unconditional love as Jesus’ greatest gift – the bedrock for lasting harmony when insecurity and economic woes test the nation.
Under the theme “The Greatest Gift from God,” Adewole unpacked Christ’s birth as God’s sacrificial light from Genesis – illuminating hope, direction, and humility across cultures. He called for deep reflection, repentance, positive values, and New Year renewal through righteousness, slamming govt to crush crime, ease hardships, and prioritize welfare – but folks must pitch in with responsible peace-building.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s deputy Kayode Alabi cheered Christians’ stability role, vowing inclusive policies for all faiths and tribes – Kwara’s rising together.
