The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is gearing up for court action to snatch back mandates from Rivers State lawmakers who ditched the party for the All Progressives Congress (APC), calling their flip-flop a blatant betrayal of voters.
National Publicity Secretary Ini Ememobong blasted the assembly members as political puppets dancing to their “paymaster and demigod’s” tune, labeling their move a “defection from APC to APC” after earlier recanting defections. He slammed them as enemies of democracy who mock the legislature and obstruct progress.
PDP insists these lawmakers abandoned the platform that elected them, vowing to invoke constitutional provisions for recovery. Ememobong rallied Rivers members to stay strong amid rebuild efforts rooted in fairness and inclusivity.
