Governor Dapo Abiodun just dropped Ogun State’s bold N1.67 trillion budget proposal a whopping 63% jump from 2025 aiming to supercharge infrastructure, jobs, and revenue under the ISEYA pillars.
Capital spending dominates at N1.044 trillion (63%), with Infrastructure grabbing N526.15 billion (32%), Education N275.40 billion (17%), and Health N210.59 billion (13%). Funding comes from N509.88 billion IGR (up from N52 billion in 2020 to N192 billion now), federal shares, and loans, fueling projects like the certified Gateway Airport’s commercial flights and new dry ports.
Abiodun highlighted Ogun’s N17 trillion GDP growth, over 1,500km of roads built, and events like the 50th anniversary bash. Assembly Speaker Oludaisi Elemide welcomed it, pushing for anti-land grabbing courts and stricter oversight.
