TINUBU SWEEPS IN FIVE NEW PERMANENT SECRETARIES TO BOOST FEDERAL SERVICE

On Wednesday at the State House in Abuja, President Bola Tinubu officially swore in five fresh Permanent Secretaries, filling key gaps in the federal civil service just before the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting kicked off. Joining them was Aminu Yusuf, the new Chairman of the National Population Commission (NPC), along with two commissioners.

The distinguished Permanent Secretaries hail from across Nigeria’s regions: Alhaji Abdulkarim Ibrahim (North Central), Dr. John Ezeamama, Dr. Abdul Sule Garba (North West), Dr. Ishiyaku Mohammed (North East), and Dr. Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu (South East). This move aims to inject fresh expertise for streamlined policy execution.

In a solemn moment, FEC observed a minute of silence for the late Ambassador Joy Ogwu, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, who passed away in October at age 79. The new appointments show Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening governance while honoring past public servants.
