Rivers State Police just scored a big win against car snatchers, arresting two key suspects and seizing a Toyota Hilux and Corolla with fake plates—proving intelligence-led ops are paying off big time.
On November 20 around 6pm, the C4I Intelligence Unit tracked down 43-year-old Abubakar Abdulsalam and 35-year-old Shagari Shehu using solid tips, nabbing them with the white Hilux (fake GWA 453 GR) and ash Corolla (fake LSD 420 BT). Both rides are in custody as probes deepen into possible syndicate links.
CP Olugbenga Adepoju hailed the team and community for the breakthrough, urging more tips to keep cracking down on crime. PPRO SP Grace Iringe-Koko confirmed hunts for accomplices are ongoing, with the command laser-focused on safety.
