FIRST LADY TINUBU RALLIES NASS FOR WOMEN’S SEATS AT STATE DINNER

Sen. Oluremi Tinubu hosted National Assembly leaders like Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, VP Kashim Shettima, and Imo Gov. Hope Uzodinma for a pivotal dinner at Aso Rock’s Banquet Hall, blending dialogue on national fixes with a passionate push for the Gender Parity Bill (Reserved Seats for Women).

She hailed lawmakers’ democratic grit amid insecurity, spotlighting threats to girls’ education and Almajiri boys vulnerable to crime, urging inclusive reforms for safer futures. Tinubu stressed the bill’s power to boost governance like in other nations, making the 10th Assembly historic champions for women—half our population, yet underrepresented in power.

Akpabio pledged backing, vowing to crush “enemy action,” labeling kidnapping terrorism with death penalty, and debunking US religious bias claims. Abbas echoed: women’s inclusion strengthens democracy, security, and stability, praising her Women, Peace, Security advocacy.
