CDCFIB RECRUITMENT 2025: SHORTLISTS DROP DEC 1 – WHAT TO EXPECT NEXT

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) will release shortlisted candidates on December 1, with applicants advised to check recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng through December 3 to confirm their status and choose preferred physical screening venues and dates. This stage follows the intense multi-phase recruitment exercise that began with over 1.8 million applicants registering between July 14 and August 11, 2025.

After shortlisting, approximately 872,391 candidates took the computer-based test (CBT) in November, with around 60+% projected to advance depending on merit, federal character, and service-specific cut-offs. Physical screening and document verification, the final phase, will run from December 8 to 12 across all states and the FCT. This involves presenting original certificates and ID, fitness tests including height and chest measurements, and ensuring no exam malpractice or fake documents.

Applicants must avoid unofficial channels and never pay for assistance, as the entire process remains free, transparent, and merit-based. The board stresses careful preparation for document checks and fitness readiness to secure a place in Nigeria’s vital paramilitary services: NSCDC, NIS, NCoS, and Federal Fire Service.
