ASCSN PRAISES SECURITY FOR RESCUING DEFENCE DIRECTORS

Big relief for the Federal Ministry of Defence four of their abducted directors are now safe, thanks to the swift action of Nigeria’s security agencies. The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) didn’t waste time applauding those efforts.

ASCSN President Shehu Mohammed shared the update in Abuja, revealing that the directors were kidnapped on November 10 while traveling on the Kabba-Lokoja highway to Abuja for promotion exams. Thankfully, Mrs. Helen Ezeakor, Mrs. Ladoye C.A., Mrs. Ngozi Ibeziakor, and Mrs. Essien Catherine O. are free and currently receiving medical care. However, Mrs. Emeribe C.A. and Mrs. Onwuzurike J.A. are still missing.

The union urged the Defence Ministry and security agencies to keep pushing hard to bring the remaining two officials home safely. They also called for decentralizing exams and verification exercises to cut down long-distance travel and improve safety for civil servants.

ASCSN applauded President Bola Tinubu’s dedication to fighting insecurity and making travel safer for all Nigerians.
