AFRIDEX 2026: AFRICA’S DEFENCE GAME-CHANGER UNLOCKED

Nigeria’s gearing up to host AFRIDEX 2026, Africa’s biggest defence and security expo, promising massive industrial boosts and continent-wide collab on cutting-edge tech. DICON’s Maj.-Gen. Babatunde Alaya and DMG Events’ Christopher Hudson hyped it up in Abuja, calling it a powerhouse platform for stakeholders from defence, security, and tech worlds.

Set for October 26-29 in Lagos, the four-day event draws 30,000 attendees from 100+ countries, over 500 exhibitors showcasing land, air, maritime, cyber, and sabotage-busting innovations. Expect high-level talks, demos, and networking between governments, militaries, researchers, and investors to spark public-private partnerships and tech transfers.

Alaya sees it as Nigeria leading Africa’s defence revolution, aligning with federal goals for innovation and security. Hudson points to Africa’s $52B defence spend surging into new domains, making AFRIDEX the spot for global tech, sovereign partners, and Africa-tuned solutions.

This expo cements Nigeria’s role as Africa’s economic and defence powerhouse, driving modernisation and cross-continental ties.
