Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) has kicked off a groundbreaking cochlear implant and hearing-rehabilitation programme at the National Hospital in Abuja, targeting around 30 surgeries mainly for kids with severe hearing loss. This full-service initiative covers diagnosis, surgery, therapy, and speech rehab to help children hear, speak, and fully join society— a massive humanitarian boost from the Kingdom.
Saudi Chargé d’Affaires Saad Al-Marri hailed the partnership with Nigerian health authorities as a symbol of Saudi’s commitment to vulnerable communities, building on ongoing aid across Africa under King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s leadership. He emphasized how KSRelief delivers real change, from medical aid to crisis relief, strengthening ties between Saudi Arabia and Nigeria.
The programme promises life-altering results for families, restoring hope and integration for hearing-impaired children who otherwise face huge barriers.
