The Forum of State Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has warmly congratulated Alhaji Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, on his recent election as the party’s National Chairman. This announcement came through a statement signed by the forum’s Chairman, Tony Aziegbemin of Edo, along with 25 other chairmen and made public in Abuja.
Turaki’s election at the PDP national convention in Ibadan is seen as a powerful testament to his long standing integrity, capability, and dedication to serving both the party and the country. The forum expressed confidence that under Turaki’s leadership, the PDP will continue its mission to rescue and rebuild Nigeria.
Acknowledgements were also given to PDP state governors, notably Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo, for the successful hosting of the national convention, and to other leaders including Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Gov. Amadu Fintiri of Adamawa, Caleb Mufwang of Plateau, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, and Ademola Adeleke of Osun, who all contributed to the administration of the party.
Despite ongoing political pressures and challenges, the forum reaffirmed its resolve to defend the PDP’s ideals and stand firm against any hostilities or institutional oppressions.
