VICE-PRESIDENT KASHIM SHETTIMA DEPARTS JOHANNESBURG FOR LUANDA TO REPRESENT PRESIDENT TINUBU AT AU-EU SUMMIT

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has left Johannesburg, South Africa, heading to Luanda, Angola, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the 7th African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Summit. This follows his attendance at the 20th G20 Leaders’ Summit in Johannesburg, where he stood in for the President during key discussions on global economic reforms, critical minerals governance, and artificial intelligence.

The AU-EU Summit, scheduled for November 24-25, will bring together Heads of State and Government from both blocs, alongside young leaders, innovators, and civil society organisations. The focus will be on shared challenges including climate change, inclusive development, infrastructure, the digital economy, creative industries, manufacturing, and agribusiness.

Vice-President Shettima is expected to return to Nigeria at the summit’s conclusion.
