The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), in partnership with the Kogi State Government, has successfully intercepted a large consignment of illicit drugs worth millions of naira moving through the state. Kogi’s Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, announced that the drugs were cleverly hidden in a truck headed to an undisclosed destination.
Despite investigations ongoing, the identity of the drug kingpin remains unknown. The administration of Governor Ahmed Ododo continues to work closely with NDLEA, intensifying efforts to block any illegal drug trafficking routes within the state to safeguard its residents.
NDLEA’s relentless commitment in protecting Kogi residents from the dangers associated with illicit drugs continues to gain commendation. This operation marks a critical milestone in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking in the region.
