FAAN CONDUCTS CRUCIAL DISASTER SIMULATION AT Nnamdi AZIKIWE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TO ENSURE SAFETY READINESS

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) carried out a mandatory disaster emergency simulation exercise on Thursday at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja. This critical drill aimed to test and improve the airport’s response capabilities to major aviation disasters.

Ahmed Danjuma, FAAN’s Regional General Manager for North Central, described the exercise as “fantastic,” praising the timely response of all participating agencies including NEMA, Red Cross, Police, NSCDC, FRSC, Fire Service, and medical facilities in Abuja.

The simulation provided vital feedback to identify gaps and enhance future emergency planning and coordination, reaffirming FAAN’s commitment to passenger safety and efficient crisis management.
