KANO GOV HANDS OUT PERMANENT JOBS TO 400 MATHS TEACHERS

Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has officially presented permanent and pensionable appointment letters to 400 newly recruited Mathematics teachers for the state’s secondary schools. This move is a direct response to subject gaps that have affected students’ performance and career readiness, according to the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature.

Yusuf described Mathematics as the foundation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Innovation, stressing that Kano State must build a strong base to compete in a knowledge-driven world. He added that the new teachers will significantly enhance teaching quality, improve examination outcomes, and strengthen pathways for students into STEM fields.

The governor commended the Ministry of Education and the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSSSMB) for conducting a transparent and effective recruitment process. Yusuf urged the new teachers to teach with passion, commitment, and professionalism, stressing that they must justify the confidence placed in them.
