WIKKI TOURIST STUN ENYIMBA WITH 1-0 WIN IN ABA

Tourist FC of Bauchi handed Enyimba International FC a tough day at home, beating them 1-0 in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 13 clash on Sunday. Ahmed Abubakar’s 31st-minute strike gave Wikki Tourist a crucial lead just before halftime.

Wikki’s coach Abdul Maikaba shared his delight after the match, saying he encouraged his players to be bold and go for the win, confident in the supportive atmosphere at Enyimba Stadium. “We aimed to score early, and it paid off. We could have scored more, but all things considered, this result lifts our spirits,” he said. Maikaba hopes this victory will fuel the team’s push to finish strong this season.

On the other side, Enyimba coach Stanley Eguma skipped the post-match interview for the second time this season, avoiding journalists after his team’s losses.

The win boosted Wikki Tourist to 7th place on the NPFL table with 19 points, while Enyimba dropped to 11th with 17 points after 13 games.
