“NOLLYWOOD ‘SAFARI’ WINS BIG AT 22ND ABUJA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL”

The movie ‘Safari’ has dominated the 22nd Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF), clinching the prestigious Golden Jury Award for Overall Best Film. The festival, themed “From Script to Nation: The Role of Film in Shaping National Identity,” ran from November 6 to 10 in Abuja.

‘Safari’ was nominated in five categories and triumphed with three major awards: Outstanding Director for Obi Emelonye, Outstanding Actress for Osas Ighodalo, and the coveted Golden Jury Award. The film features a star-studded cast, including Osas Ighodalo, Jide Achufusi, Emmanuel Mugo, Ken Ambani, Ali Nuhu, and more.

Director and producer Obi Emelonye expressed gratitude to AIFF organizers and Providus Bank for supporting the award-winning film, which premieres in cinemas on November 21.

Other top winners included ‘Monologue’ (Experimental Film, Nigeria), ‘Bridge My Little Friends’ (Outstanding Animation, Japan), and ‘Just Live’ (Outstanding Cinematography, Russia).
