The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has successfully neutralized scores of terrorists and bandits through precise airstrikes across Borno, Kwara, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna States. Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations, confirmed the operations on November 9 as part of intensified counterterrorism missions under Operation HADIN KAI and Operation FANSAN YAMMA.
In Borno, strikes targeted ISWAP hideouts in Mallam Fatori and Shuwaram, destroying logistics hubs and weapons depots, severely crippling their mobility in the Lake Chad Basin. In Kwara and Katsina, bandit strongholds at Garin Dandi, Chigogo, and Zango Hill were obliterated. Similar strikes in Zamfara and Kaduna neutralized fleeing terrorists on the Birnin Gwari-Funtua axis.
Ejodame credited the renewed operational tempo to Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke’s leadership, highlighting the NAF’s commitment to using intelligence-driven airpower to protect citizens and ensure national security.
