NCC KICKS OFF DIGITAL AWARENESS FORUM TO DRIVE INCLUSIVE INNOVATION IN NIGERIA

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is set to host the first-ever Digital Awareness and Sensitisation Forum on November 13, 2025, under the theme “Leaving No One Behind: Digital Assets, Equity, and Empowerment.” Head of Public Affairs, Nnenna Ukoha, announced that the forum will bring together policymakers, industry experts, and community stakeholders to bridge the digital divide and foster innovation and inclusion.

The event aims to create a conducive environment to advance digital infrastructure, inclusive policies, and adaptive literacy programs while advocating affordability and accessibility of digital services. With Africa’s youngest population and Nigeria’s significant youth demographic, the NCC is focusing on unlocking this potential to boost national development.

Key partners include the Universal Service Provision Fund (USPF), National Orientation Agency (NOA), Association of Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria (ATCON), FintechNGR, and others. The forum will feature panel discussions, exhibitions from innovators and fintech firms, and will be livestreamed nationwide via scf.ncc.gov.ng.
