The 10th edition of the National Quiz Competition on Legislature and Democracy crowned the School of the Gifted, Gwagwalada, FCT Abuja as the national champions, showcasing the intellectual prowess of Nigerian youths. Organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), the competition gathered top secondary schools from all six geopolitical zones for a rigorous contest.
The School of the Gifted scored 70 points, clinching the top spot in a tight competition where Model Secondary School, Akure, Ondo State, narrowly took second after a tie-breaker, and Annunciation Catholic College, Irrua, Edo, secured third place with equal points. NILDS Director-General Prof. Abubakar Suleiman praised the event as a critical civic education initiative empowering young Nigerians with knowledge on democracy, governance, and legislative processes.
This milestone edition celebrated a decade of nurturing informed, responsible citizens who grasp the importance of legislative power and civic duty. The competition not only tests academics but builds leadership and integrity among future generations.
