JOINT TASK FORCE HADIN KAI RESCUES 86 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS, THWARTS TERRORIST AMBUSH IN BORNO

Troops of the Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have successfully rescued 86 kidnapped men, women, and children from Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during coordinated operations in Borno State. The troops, from the 135 Special Forces Battalion under Sector 2, engaged insurgents at Dutse Kura along the Buratai–Kamuya Road, where they responded to reports of abductions.

After chasing the terrorists towards Mangari, the troops destroyed 11 terrorist makeshift camps and recovered weapons, ammunition, civilian vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and logistics tricycles. Additionally, 29 suspected terrorist logistics suppliers were arrested en route to Chilaria carrying petrol, medical supplies, tyres, and foodstuffs.

The Military High Command praised the gallantry and professionalism of the troops, urging the sustained offensive to deny terrorists freedom of action in the North East.
