The Nigerian Federal Government has called on citizens to remain calm despite the rising diplomatic tensions with the United States. Minister of Information Alhaji Mohammed Idris, speaking during a courtesy visit to Jigawa State Governor Umar Namadi, reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu has the ability to resolve the issues amicably.
The Minister emphasized that there is no cause for panic and highlighted President Tinubu’s capacity to protect Nigeria’s interests and repair relationships with international partners. This appeal comes in the wake of strong criticisms and threats from the US administration regarding security and religious freedom matters in Nigeria.
Government officials remain focused on diplomatic engagement to navigate the dispute and maintain Nigeria’s national stability.
