FCC LEADS DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION TO BOOST GOVERNMENT EFFICIENCY AND TRANSPARENCY

The Acting Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Mr. Kayode Oladele, has called on Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) across Nigeria to embrace digital technology to enhance efficiency and service delivery. Speaking at a workshop and portal training held at Nasarawa State University, Oladele emphasized that the era of analog operations is over and the government must adopt modern digital tools.

The FCC has introduced an Online Nominal Roll Portal designed to simplify data submission and ensure real-time, accurate data management, aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for digital governance and computer literacy among civil servants by 2026.

Oladele urged participants to approach the digital transition with seriousness, noting the importance of reliable data for equitable public appointments and constitutional fairness. He commended the public-private partnership with Pyrich Group for supporting innovation and knowledge transfer.

The initiative, supported also by FCC’s Management Information System Director Paul Abiade, promises to replace cumbersome manual processes, improving data accuracy and speeding up government operations.
