EDITORS GATHER IN ABUJA FOR 21ST ALL NIGERIA EDITORS CONFERENCE, TINUBU TO OFFICIALLY OPEN

All is set for the 21st All Nigeria Editors Conference (ANEC) in Abuja from November 12-13, 2025, with over 500 editors from across the country expected. President Bola Tinubu will declare the conference open at the State House Conference Centre, Aso Villa, attended by governors, media leaders, academia, diplomatic corps, and dignitaries.

The conference theme, “Democratic Governance and National Cohesion: The Role of Editors,” with a sub-theme focusing on “Electoral Integrity and Trust Deficit: What Nigerians Expect in 2027,” aims to discuss editors’ role in promoting democracy, national cohesion, and addressing electoral challenges.

Keynote speaker Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma and renowned speakers like Prof. Awa Kalu, Prof. Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, Gen Lucky Irabor (rtd), and Prof. Abiodun Adeniyi will deliver impactful papers. An executive session will see editors interrogate government officials and political leaders.

The event promises to be a critical platform for exploring how responsible journalism can fortify national development and democracy in Nigeria.
