Argentina will be without Atletico Madrid’s Julian Alvarez, Nahuel Molina, and Giuliano Simeone for their upcoming friendly against Angola due to their failure to complete yellow fever vaccination procedures on time. The Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) clarified that the health protocols are mandatory for entry into Angola, a region where yellow fever is prevalent.
The players had missed recent club matches due to related health issues. Argentina, reigning world champions and already qualified for the 2026 World Cup, will face Angola in Luanda without the trio.
The decision highlights the importance of timely compliance with international health requirements, especially for travel to regions affected by mosquito-borne diseases like yellow fever.
